Joe Clemmons

Joe Clemmons is a Nashville based songwriter and guitarist, originally from East Texas. Raised on a mixed blend of classic rock, country and pop, Clemmons found his musical influences in everything from Tom Petty and Bob Dylan to country acts like Alan Jackson and Robert Earl Keen. Clemmons started taking guitar lessons at age 15 from John DeFoore (Kacey Musgraves, Miranda Lambert, Ryan Beaver) who introduced him to songwriting. Over the next few years, he developed his passion for songwriting, continuing his music studies at Nashville’s Belmont University, where he graduated in 2013. Since then, Clemmons has toured with artists Maren Morris, Ryan Hurd, Steve Moakler, Joey Hyde and more. At the end of 2017, Clemmons chose to focus more solely on his passion for songwriting, immediately landing recurring writes with Nashville’s hottest up-and-coming songwriters. He signed an exclusive publishing deal with HoriPro Entertainment Group in April 2018.
