
Shin Murayama has composed, arranged and produced music for over 90 major recording artists in Japan since 1998. He has also provided many quality music tracks for TV programs, DVD products and video games.
Born in Kawasaki, Japan, Shin Murayama spent his childhood moving around Japan as well as various other countries. Settling in Tokyo, He began his career in music. One highlight from Shin Murayama’s career is he arranged songs for megastar Hikaru Utada (Later released album in USA as UTADA). The album sold over 7 million copies, which became the biggest selling album ever in Japan. Shin Murayama’s work also includes a number of gold and platinum records. One of his newly produced works is the ending theme song for the Japanese version of the TV program "Sesame Street" which he composed, arranged and produced. He also recently released his solo album, which contained a song used as the ending theme song for a major TV program in Japan.
Besides working in Japan, Shin Murayama has also worked with leading Korean artists including Tony An, BADA, Lee Kichan.
Shin Murayama's ability to program sound impressed the synthesizer manufacture Access and his sound programs have been adopted as factory preset for their product.
In addition, Shin Murayama worked closely with Roland and has provided preset tracks and demo tracks for their best selling products such as MC-909, MC-808 and others.
Currently based in Los Angeles, Shin Murayama is seeking the possibility to venture out of Japan and develop his career in America.
