Today, Lee Brice’s latest single, “A Woman Like You,” reached #5 on the iTunes US Country Chart. Co-written by HoriPro’s Phil Barton along with Jon Stone and Johnny Bulford, the song will be featured on Brice’s sophomore album.

Last night, The Recording Academy announced nominations for the 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards. Amongst nominees is George Strait’s latest album, Here For a Good Time, up for Best Country Album, and “The Beautiful People (from Burlesque)” as featured in Burlesque, nominated for Best Compilation Soundtrack for Visual Media.

The 54th Annual GRAMMY Awards will air on February 12, 2012.

BMI hosted their 59th Annual Country Awards last week, honoring the most performed songs in the BMI Repertoire for the period beginning April 1, 2010 and ending March 31, 2011.

HoriPro writers Dean Dillon and Phil O’Donnell were recognized for the hits, “The Breath You Take” and “She Won’t Be Lonely Long.”

Though Strait is no stranger to securing spots at #1, this is the first time he shares this victory with his son.
